Michael Conrad, President of the Berlin School of Creative Leadership, cordially invites you to attend the next President's
Lecture:
Joachim Sauter - The German Pioneer of Digital Art and Spatial Communication
Thursday, August 27, 2009 (19:00 - 21:00)
Please RSVP by August 18th to: rsvp@berlin-school.com
Joachim Sauter's amazing work is pioneering the use of innovative new media in communication.
By using computers as a digital tool, his media inventions add unexpected life to conventional pieces like a coffee table or a sculpture in a museum. These unique and highly engaging pieces have
caused stunned reviews by visitors to the 'Centre Pompidou' in Paris, the 'Stejdilik Museum' in Amsterdam, at the 'Venice Biennial' or at the BMW Museum in Munich, which displays his highly awarded
Kinetic Sculpture (click here to watch video),
demonstrating how Sauter's media work can add new dimensions to the communication of a famous brand.
Sauter founded ART+COM in Berlin in 1988 together with other artists, designers, scientists and technologists. He and his teams have been highly awarded for their cutting edge work, amongst those
awards are Golden Lions from 'Cannes' and a very rare Black Pencil from D&AD.
Since 1991 Joachim Sauter is professor of 'New Media Art and Design' at the University of the Arts Berlin, and since 2001 he is adjunct professor at UCLA, Los Angeles.
We look forward to seeing you at this event.
